INTRODUCTION

As it was indicated by Ramalinga, mukti is alone a means to achieve the end but not the end in itself. All the oriental religious systems as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Thaoism, etc have emphasized in mukti. According to them, mukti is the state in which the individual soul melts into the Self and enjoys the Bliss forever. Such concept, according to Ramalinga, is not the final stage but only leads to one state which is similar to deep dream. In mukti reigns the Light and the soul is absolutely conscious, in deep dream the darkness prevails and the soul remains unconscious, but in one and another state a total absence of activity is on the part of the soul that simply succumbes to “that” (Light or darkness) in which is immersed.

Beyond this state is other one in which, after obtaining the True Knowledge and the spiritual fusion with the Divinity, the soul enjoys fully all the Supreme Powers and participates in the Divine Mission in active way. The physical matter of the body experiences a total transformation, becoming the embodiment of Bliss and Compassion which is the Deathless Golden Body.

Many great saints have demonstrated extreme contempt for their own body and, considering it like a hindrance in their spiritual evolution, they lacerated it bearing unlimited pain. Perhaps it was a rapid way to settle their own karmic debts as well as those ones that belongs to many other suffering beings, but so enormous sacrifice is unnecessary before the inconmensurable Divine Benevolence.

Likewise it is lamentable that have renounced their continuance in the body, passing through the hard trance of the illness and the death, the most of those who have reached the High Summits of the Sacred. Thanks to them large blessings have been spilled on the earth, but if they had preserved their bodies, entirely transformed by the Light with their spirits came to be melted, during an eternity we had been able to be participants of their State of Grace and witnesses of their Divine Action.

The existence of state higher than mukti was known and experienced by great saints as Babaji, Boganathar, Thirumular and, more recently, Sri Aurobindo and the Mother (Mira Alfassa). Ramalinga totally realized himself the Golden Deathless Body, in which he remained up to the time when the dematerialization took place by his express will to stop being in a single body to penetrate in all the bodies of the Creation. In this way he demonstrated authentically that not only the spirit but also the body can enjoy the total Union with God, opening a Path to do accessible to all the beings the access to this Sublime State of Perfection.
